トップマネジメントチームにおけるCFO機能の役割
米国新興企業に関する実証研究

Abstract 本研究は、新興企業成立プロセスにおける、財務担当役員であるCFOがビジネスプランの質の向上や組織パフォーマンスへ与える影響を明らかにした。データは、米国新興企業家858企業の6期に渡るパネルデータを利用した。分析の結果、新興企業は創業者チームにおけるCFOの貢献度が高いほど黒字化し、ビジネスプランの修正を行い、実務とその内容が一致することが明らかとなった。さらに、ビジネスプランの修正と、実務とその内容の一致は、新興企業の黒字化に強い正の影響を与えることから、ビジネスプランの質の向上を意味する可能性を示した。
This research demonstrates the influence of the CFO (chief financial officer) on the quality of the business plan and the organizational performance. Data for this study is the 6 panel data consisted of 858 start-up firms in the United States. The result shows that the contribution of CFO to the start-up team plays significant role in the first reach to the break-even point, and modify the business plan and the business plan's consistency of the operation. Modify the business plan and the business plan's consistency of the operation is also significant on the first reach to the break-even point and intends to a potential impact on the quality of business plan.
