大企業からの研究開発型カーブアウトに際して直面する課題の事例

Abstract クリステンセンが主張する「イノベーションのジレンマ」を克服する手法の一つとして，経済産業省は大企業にカーブアウト型起業実践の推進を求めている．
本研究は，ある大企業に属するエンジニアが研究開発型ベンチャーとして立ち上げたカーブアウト会社の事例研究である．
大企業が従業員にカーブアウトを許可する際に，従業員が負うかもしれないリスクや新しいビジネススキームの将来性を評価するうえで苦悩した点について議論する．
加えて，発足したカーブアウトベンチャーが経験したカーブアウトの業務上の利点および欠点についても議論する．
As one of the technique to conquer "the Innovator's Dilemma" by argued Christensen, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) recommends that large enterprises carve out new startup companies.This research is a case study on a carve-out company which is established for R&D business by a senior engineer who belong to a large enterprise. We show the points of decision-making by a large enterprise to allow the engineer to establish new startup company: the evaluation of the risk that employee might incur and the feasibility of the new business scheme.In addition, the advantages and the risk that the carve-out venture experienced are also discussed.
