地域金融機関におけるFinTech活用の進展

Abstract

日本で2015年頃から注目されている金融のイノベーションであるFinTechは、当初メガバンクの推進が着目されていた。ところが、最近では、地域金融機関が地域活性化の手段として活用するケースが多くなってきている。本報告では、地方銀行や協同組織金融機関でのアプリ開発やキャッシュレス、オンライン融資等の取組みの動向を分析し、今後の発展可能性について考察する。

FinTech, a financial innovation that has been attracting attention in Japan since around 2015, initially focused on promoting megabanks. However, in recent years, there are more cases where regional financial institutions use it as a means of regional revitalization. In this report, we analyze trends in application development, cashless, online lending, etc. in regional banks and cooperative financial institutions, and discuss future development potential.
