電子書籍の普及はなかなか進んでいない．公共図書館においては電子書籍の普及は低迷状態である．東京都市大学横浜キャンパスの図書館でも電子書籍はまだ200 種類であり浸透しているとは言えない．そこで，横浜キャンパス図書館を事例に，電子書籍と紙書籍の隠れた要因をDEMO で分析した．そして,電子書籍と紙書籍の TCO を比較した．その結果，平均的には紙書籍の TCO が電子書籍を上回っていた．ただし、旅行ガイドブックのような価格差があまり開いてないものもあった．書籍ごとに価格差を調べて判断してゆくことが重要である．
The spread of electronic books is sluggish. Even in the library of Tokyo City University Yokohama Campus, there are still 200 types of e-books, and they could not penetrate. Therefore, using the Yokohama campus Library, we analyze the factors behind the gap between e-books and the library using DEMO. After that, we compared the TCO of e-books and paper books. As a result, On average, the TCO of paper books exceeds that of e-books.However, such as travel guidebooks, the price difference is not so wide.
